Sony Music Entertainment (Argentina) S.A. (not for release label use! formerly Discos CBS S.A.I.C.F. prior to 1991)

known previously as Discos CBS S.A.I.C.F. (or Discos CBS S.A.I.C.) prior to 1991, before Sony Corporation of America acquired CBS Records from CBS, Inc. in 1988 and rechristened it Sony Music Entertainment on Jan 1, 1991. the former Argentine CBS subsidiary was duly renamed Sony Music Entertainment (Argentina) S.A. (so between 1988–1991, its parent was the Sony Corp-owned CBS Records that had yet to be renamed.)

In 2005, it was again renamed as Sony BMG Music Entertainment (Argentina) S.A. when SME and BMG merged and, yet once more in 2008, as Sony Music Entertainment Argentina S.A., after Sony had bought out BMG's share of the merger.
