Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel (Flemish music conservatory in Brussels, Belgium)
~ Educational institution
Annotation
Originally founded in 1832, the conservatory split up in 1967 into a Flemish/Dutch-speaking entity (Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel) and a French-speaking entity (Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles). Both operate completely independent from each other but share a number of buildings.
Bachelor & Master education in classical music. Since 1994 (first graduates in 1998) the conservatory also offers courses in jazz music.
References to the Flemish & French Conservatorium/Conservatoire are sometimes ambiguously translated and/or mentioned. Relations prior to 1967 should always be made to the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles.
