Comme d’habitude
~ Recording by Claude François
Annotation
"Comme d'habitude", first recorded by Claude François in 1967, is the original French version of what would later become the world-famous song, "My Way" (Frank Sinatra, 1969). Paul Anka (who had acquired the publishing rights to the song for free) wrote the English lyrics specially with Sinatra in mind, who popularized it. "Comme d'habitude" has reputedly been recorded in more languages, by more artists than any other song in contemporary music history.
