Iron Maiden really becomes Iron Maiden here. This is where everything clicks — Bruce shows up and suddenly the songs have air, drama, and teeth. The gallop is fully formed, the riffs are iconic without being dumb, and even the weaker tracks still sound purposeful.

Yes, “Run to the Hills” is overplayed, but it earns it. And “Hallowed Be Thy Name” is still untouchable — one of those songs that reminds you why heavy metal works at all when it works. The album isn’t flawless front to back, but the highs are genre-defining and the ambition carries it through.

This is Maiden stepping out of the pack and announcing they’re built for the long game.
