Releases issued to BMG Direct club members. These releases are not intended for retail sale and usually have no barcode. In place of the barcode is a BMG Catalog number which we use as a sequence number in the series.
A few releases do in fact have a barcode, but not a retail UPC/EAC code. It's an alphanumeric barcode format which if scanned will yield the BMG catalog number.
The Dxxxxxx number (no space or punctuation) should be entered as the series number.
Entering Code 39 (the alphanumeric barcode format that BMG uses) as barcode will be possible once MBS-8393 is implemented.
